Sync Google Calendar with DateBook
Written by BoostStuff    Friday, 03 April 2009 22:55    PDF Print E-mail

To sync your Google Calendar with your default datebook progam you first need to set up a calendar in Google.  After that follow these steps.

1:  Download the GCALSYNC program here (its labeled gsink sorry) click here to download.

2:  Go to this site and follow the instructions.  click here

Once you have it installed you will need to enter in your google username and password.  Once you do that you can mess around with the options by hitting the "menu" button.

For me and my i335 it is not an automatic sync, you have to go to the app and sync it when you want stuff to be uploaded and downloaded.  You will also get this "grant access" warning then "Only Once", just keep hitting ok.  It will be annoying however I have not figured out a way around it yet.   Just remember keep hitting OK and it will eventually go away.

Now go to your datebook and enter in a "test" event...Then go to the app-menu-sync.  Hit OK OK OK (or however many times) and then go to your google calendar to make sure it worked.

Let me know if you have any issues on your phone, it seems to work great on the i335.

or..

You could download Opera Mini 3 and visit Googles mobile version of Google Calendar.

Opera Mini 3 on BoostMobile iDen Phones
Written by BoostStuff    Sunday, 15 March 2009 01:53    PDF Print E-mail

How to install Opera Mini 3 on your Boost Mobile iDEN phones.  No cable needed.

  1. Download this file to your computer [click here]
  2. Go to this website and follow the instructions

Thats it! just follow the on screen instructions after you have downloaded it.

Having Opera Mini 3 on your phone will let you visit the mobile versions of facebook.com, myspace.com, gmail, etc...   The default browser has never worked for me as good as Opera does.

When you start typing in edit mode, press the Menu button twice and it will allow you to change to Alpha instead of T9. However, you have to do this everytime you type...T9 is default.

Your are currently browsing this site with Internet Explorer 6 (IE6).

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
